Citizens who have not completed the mandatory biometric enrolment process by the 31 July 2027 deadline will be non-compliant and have their passports deactivated. This will mean they are non-operational for travel.

Passport Production

Passport production will remain centralised in St. Kitts, with passports issued to citizens by investment continuing to be produced and dispatched through the Passport Office. They will not be available for collection through other locations in the biometric network, including High Commissions and Embassies.

Passport production will be included in the upfront payment made through the portal, although government application fees exclude passport delivery or other agent fees.

An applicant’s personal information, biometric data and supporting documents will be submitted digitally through the official Government Portal following notarisation, allowing the information to form part of the complete application before it is transferred to the Passport Office.

Passport Process

After biometrics enrollment is done by client, Authorized agents can begin uploading supporting documentation for all clients who completed biometric enrolment between 14 April and 31 August 2026. This will initiate the passport production process.

  • All supporting documents for each client and ensure they are notarised before uploading to the portal.
  • Authorised agents may act as recommender. recommender form from the portal for each client
  • Agents can upload each client’s complete set of documents to the portal for transfer to the Passport Office. Applications will only proceed once all required documentation has been received
  • Clients to return their old passports to you for surrender to the passport office before the new one can be issued.
  • Clients no longer need to provide physical passport photographs, a police report, or secure stamps.
  • The portal will automatically notify clients of application status, including when the passport is ready for collection, and the reason for any rejection

Passport Delivery

Agents will continue to manage delivery. Each handover will be accompanied by a signed letter from the Ministry of National Security, addressed personally to the citizen, confirming that the passport was issued by the Government of St Kitts and Nevis. The Passport Office will issue this letter directly and clients will also receive an automated email via the portal with a copy of the letter attached, ensuring the client holds official, traceable confirmation from the
Government itself.
