Application Steps
Below are the important steps on how to apply for St.Kitts and Nevis (SKN) citizenship by investment program..
- Provide the filled application forms and supporting documents for review.
- Pay the initial first stage fee (due diligence and agency fee)
- Authorized Agent checks KYC and Due diligence conducted.
- Authorized agent checks all documents and forms submits the application with CIU.
- Wait for letter of approval from the Government.
- Attend the interview over video link.
- Pay the balance within 60 days post approval.
- Enroll for Biometrics at nearest consulate.
- Collect Passport and Citizenship certificate.
Application Process
I have broken down the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship Investment Program (CIP) Application into the headings below.
1. Process:-
This requires the applicant(s) to fill out the various forms and provide the necessary documents to the CIP unit who then make the decision on the application.
REQUIREMENTS which is the CIP-issued checklist for forms and documents for anyone applying, will be sent on request. Certain documents have to apostilled or certified wherever necessary. See attached checklist pdf for instructions.
In addition to the REQUIREMENTS, we will need: –
a). LAWYERS CREDENTIAL – THIS IS THE LAWYER WHO IS CERTIFYING ALL THE DOCUMENTS AS TRUE COPIES
b). THE MEDICAL EXAMINERS CREDENTIALS – THIS IS FOR THE MEDICAL EXAMINER WHO IS DOING THE FORM C3
c). TRANSLATORS CREDENTIALS – IF there are any translations to be done, then these must be provided.
Once the documents and forms are ready, we will review them and submit them to the CIP unit. They then take 3-5 days to review the forms and deem the file compliant or request missing documents. You have to provide us original documents by courier and digital copies for processing. Note we need original birth certificate at the time for applying for passport only.
If it is compliant then you will receive a decision on your application within 120 days of the date the file is deemed compliant.
Once approved you are then hopefully given a letter of approval which requires the payment of the investment sum fee within 60 days.
Once the investment amount is paid the applicant(s) then receive their citizenship Certificate and then they get the passport about two weeks later.
2. Processing Time frame:-
Standard time frame is four (4) months from the date your file is deemed compliant until the passport is in hand.
Once the complete file is submitted then the Due diligence will start on the applicants, and it is entirely possible you can have a decision a lot quicker than expected.

* Additional fees apply to family dependents based on age. Spouse, children (below 30) and parents are eligible.
Payment Timeframe
The Timeframe for payments are :-
1. To submit the file – DD fees, application fee, bank compliance charges and 50% of Agent fees have to be paid – $11,000
2. Once your file is approved you will then pay – donation/investment amount, and the remaining fees – $253,250
