The Citizenship by Investment Unit rejects the application for these specific reasons. The CIU will communicate a refusal with reason to the licensed agent.
Reasons
- Failed Background Check: Inability to pass strict due diligence, having a criminal record, or being under investigation or third party intelligence firm unable to conduct due diligence in your area or country
- Sanctions – Persons or companies subjected to International sanctions (EU/UN/US/UK)
- Blacklist – Country subject to blacklist (ineligible)
- Law enforcement: Wanted persons of interest (eg. FBI, Interpol) with arrest warrent.
- Visa Denials: Concealment of denial of a visa to a country that has a visa-free agreement with St. Kitts and Nevis, if the visa was not subsequently obtained.
- False Information: Providing fake documents or omitting material information.
- Financial Instability: Being declared bankrupt within the last 10 years.
- Citizenship Refusal: Previous rejection of a citizenship application by another country automatically leads to rejection.
- National Security Threat: Person appears threat to St.Kitts and Nevis. Involvement in activities that could harm the reputation of the country.
- Bankruptcy – declared bankrupt within ten years of his or her application; or
- Reputation harm – Are involved in any activity likely to cause disrepute to St. Kitts and Nevis.
- Interview – Unable to attend interview with authorities.
- Paperwork – Missing documents, incomplete forms, unsigned paperwork, or failure to meet all submission requirements can lead to denial (despite giving deadline)
Refunds – If your application is refused, you will not get refund on due diligence fee and agent processing fee. You wont pay the investment.
Appeal – It is not possible to reappeal the decision however you can reapply.
