Changing Name is legally permitted for all citizens of St.Kitts and Nevis. It is done via deed poll with passport application after citizenship certificate for investment is issued by authorities. A valid Deed Poll or Affidavit, from the country of birth is required along with the passport application
A prior permission is required from National Security Agency for change of Name. if there is a name change due to marriage/divorce or deed poll, the applicant must provide the relevant original documents. All documents must be translated to English and certified by a professional translator.
All forms and relevant documents must be submitted to the Passport Office or Consulate, to request the name change.
The Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) does not process name changes on the certificate itself; instead, changes are handled during the passport issuance or renewal process. The Original or previous name of the passport holder will be shown in the observation page of the passport for security reasons.
If the name change is due to marriage or divorce, relevant certificates (marriage/divorce certificate) must be provided.
