The Government of SKN has commenced biometric enrollment program uprade the security features of Saint Kitts passport inline with international requirements. The Ministry of National Security, Citizenship and Immigration, in partnership with the St. Kitts and Nevis Citizenship Unit, launched the National Biometric Enrolment and Passport Modernisation Programme on 14 April 2026. The initiative aligns all SKN passports with international ICAO standards adopted by developed nations. and strengthens the biometric security features of the travel document.
Biometrics Enrollment Program
The initiative brings the Federation’s travel documents into full alignment with global best practice in identity verification and border security. The programme adopts the same standard already in use across the European Union, the United States and the United Kingdom. As the birthplace of citizenship by investment, St. Kitts and Nevis is once again leading the way.
Enrolment is now live, with enrolment collection centres operating across the Federation and at consular offices and approved service providers worldwide.

Biometric Fees
- Main adult applicant aged 16 and over: US$2,500
- Second adult applicant: US$2,000
- Children under 16: US$1,300
- Agent fee – $250/person
You will pay all biometrics fees directly on the government website portal.
Limited Time Offer
Citizens who complete biometric enrolment between 20 July and 31 December 2026 will benefit from a 10% reduction on government biometric fees (e.g. the main applicant fee reduces from USD $2,500 to USD $2,250).
Please note, this discount applies exclusively to new appointment bookings for enrolment, made and completed within this window and will not be extended beyond 31 December 2026. This offer does not apply retroactively.
Standard fees resume from 1 January 2027.
How to Apply
The SKN National Biometric Enrolment Programme follows a simple three-step process for applicants and authorised agents.
Registering for biometrics appoint is a simple three step process.
Step 1 – Client Registration
Applicants begin by creating their own biometric enrolment profile through the official registration portal.
As the Authorised Agent, we provide clients with our personalised registration link:
Alternatively, clients may register using our unique Authorised Agent Code, which must be entered during registration to ensure their application is correctly linked to agent.
During registration, clients will:
- Create their own secure account.
- Automatically link their application to our Authorised Agent account.
- Complete the online application form.
- Select their preferred biometric enrolment location, appointment date and time.
- Proceed to payment.
- Submit the appointment for Authorised Agent confirmation.
Step 2 – Agent Confirmation
Once the client has completed registration and paid the appointment fee, the application status changes to:

At this stage, the Authorised Agent must:
- Review the submitted application.
- Verify the appointment details.
- Confirm the appointment through the administrative portal.
Only after the Authorised Agent confirms the booking does the appointment become final.
Step 3 – Biometric Appointment
After confirmation, the applicant attends the scheduled biometric appointment.
During the appointment, the following biometric information is collected:
- Fingerprints
- Live facial photograph
- Digital signature
- Iris scan (where applicable)
Appointments generally take 15–30 minutes.
Upon successful completion, confirmation is sent to both:
- The applicant
- The Authorised Agent

Passport Renewal
Adults will not be required to undergo full biometric enrolment each time they renew their passport.
During passport renewal:
- Existing biometric information will be validated to reconfirm the applicant’s identity.
- This validation forms part of the standard passport renewal process.
- No separate biometric fee is charged in addition to the normal passport processing fee.
- Further guidance on the renewal process for children will be provided by the Government.
Important Points to Remember
Participation in the biometric enrolment programme does not affect citizenship status.
- Citizenship acquired under the Saint Kitts & Nevis Citizenship by Investment Programme remains permanent.
- Failure to complete biometric enrolment does not revoke or suspend citizenship.
- The programme is designed solely to modernise passport issuance, strengthen identity verification and improve document security.
Preparing for your appointment
Attendance at your biometric enrolment appointment is mandatory for identity verification and regulatory compliance purposes.
During the appointment, the following biometric data will be collected on behalf of the Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis:
- Fingerprints
- Live facial image
- Digital signature
Biometric enrolment typically requires 10–15 minutes per individual.
Applicants are required to arrive at least 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment. Failure to attend or arrive late may result in cancellation and require rescheduling.

1. When is the biometric enrolment deadline?
Existing Citizens
All citizens who obtained citizenship through the Saint Kitts and Nevis Citizenship Programme, including dependants and children, must complete biometric enrolment by 31 July 2027, in accordance with age-appropriate international standards. If you do not register for biometrics, the passport will automatically cease to be valid from Sep 1, 2027. You cannot use for international travel. We ask clients to register for appointment well before the deadline to avoid delays and save hassle. The appointment centers already run in full capacity and you have to wait long time to get appointment.
New Applicants
For all citizenship applications submitted from 14 April 2026 onwards, biometric enrolment is a mandatory part of the application process.
Applicants may book their biometric appointment once their application reaches the Approval in Principle stage.
2. How is my biometric data protected?
All biometric data is securely stored in encrypted systems in full compliance with:
- International data protection standards
- International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requirements
Access to biometric information is strictly limited to authorised personnel and is used solely for:
- Identity verification
- Border security
- Passport issuance
3. How long is my biometric data retained?
Biometric data is captured once and remains valid for the lifetime of the passport.
For adult passport renewals:
- Full biometric re-enrolment is not required.
- Biometric validation is completed as part of the standard passport renewal process.
- No separate biometric fee is charged during renewal.
4. Who should I contact first to book my appointment?
All citizens must appoint an Authorised Agent (we are one), who will guide them through the biometric enrolment process. Appointments must be scheduled through the official Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis Biometric Enrolment Platform by the Authorised Agent.
4. What happens if I miss the 31 July 2027 deadline?
If biometric enrolment is not completed by 31 July 2027:
- Your existing passport will no longer be accepted for international travel.
- Your citizenship remains valid and is not affected.
- To obtain a valid travel document, you must complete biometric enrolment and apply for a biometric passport.
5. Do my children need to enrol?
Yes.
All dependants, including children who acquired citizenship through the Saint Kitts and Nevis Citizenship Programme, must complete biometric enrolment before 31 July 2027, in accordance with age-appropriate international standards.
6. How do I apply for my new biometric passport?
The biometric enrolment and passport production systems are being integrated into a single, seamless process.
From 1 September 2026:
- Citizens who complete biometric enrolment will move directly into passport production.
- No separate passport processing step will be required.
Until 1 September 2026, applicants with urgent travel requirements should continue to follow the existing passport application and renewal procedures.
7. Will biometric enrolment affect my citizenship status?
No.
Biometric enrolment is an administrative and identity verification requirement only. Failure to complete enrolment does not revoke or suspend your Saint Kitts and Nevis citizenship. However, after the deadline, you must complete biometric enrolment before a valid passport can be issued for international travel.
